• 2025 UTME registration date: February 3 – March 8
• 2025 UTME registration date (Direct Entry): March 10 – April 7
• 2025 UTME exam date (Mock): April 5
• 2025 UTME exam date: April 25 – May 5
• 2025 UTME result release date: Yet to be announced by the Board

2025 UTME Requirements

First, to carry out a successful registration, you must provide the following: 

• Your biometrics – to be captured at the CBT centre during the registration process 
• Your O’Level Results (if you’re yet to acquire this, you can state “Awaiting results”)
• Two accredited universities in Nigeria 
• One accredited polytechnic in Nigeria 
• One accredited College of Education in Nigeria 
• Your choice course(s) of study
• A valid phone number 
• A valid email address
• Your NIN

When selecting your course of study, you may choose the same course across all institutions or different related courses. Ensure that your chosen courses are available in the selected institutions and are in line with your chosen subject combination.

Direct Entry applicants must have an ND, NCE, IJMB, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and must provide academic transcripts.

How to Register for 2025 UTME

Registration for the JAMB exam is an easy and digitalized process. The total registration cost is ₦7,200 and ₦5,700 for Direct Entry students. 

If you’d like to take the mock exam, you are to pay an additional ₦1,500, making a total of ₦8,700. Here’s a step-by-step process on how to register for the JAMB 2025 UTME: 

• Via text message, type the word “NIN,” then leave a space and enter the digits of your NIN in the same text message and send it to 55019 or 66019, e.g. NIN xxxxxxxxx.
• You will be sent a code, which is your profile code. 
• Visit any Accredited CBT center with the profile code and follow the instructions given by the operator.

Yes, it’s as simple as that! Remember to collect the recommended text and other materials that should be provided at the CBT center after your registration. 

Note that your exam date and center will not be assigned immediately after the registration—this will be done later, and candidates will be notified. Follow the steps below to check your 2025 UTME exam date: 

• Head to the JAMB Portal 
• Click “Print exam slip.”
• Your slip will pop up, showing details like your 2025 UTME exam date, your exam center, subject combination, etc. 

Remember that the 2025 UTME exam date runs from April 25 to May 5. Therefore, all candidates will be assigned a date between April 25 and May 5. Whether you’re a Direct Entry student or O’level, your exam will fall between April 25 and May 5. 

If you would like to change your subject combination, you must do so before JAMB releases the exam slips; otherwise, it’ll be too late.

What is JAMB Mock For?

JAMB Mock is for candidates who wish to prepare for JAMB UTME by taking a trial exam. It’s totally optional and available for present candidates and future candidates. 

If you’d like to register for JAMB Mock, you must indicate so during the registration process and pay an additional ₦1,500. If you’re not sitting for the JAMB UTME this year but would like to prepare by taking a trial of the exam, the Future Mock exam is for you. Simply register at any JAMB CBT Centre for ₦3,500.

Is JAMB the Same as UTME?
