It’s important to note that applicants to the following Moray House programs are exempt from this discount: PGDE, MEd Leadership & Learning, MSc Transformative Learning & Teaching.

PhD Scholarships

Our PhD Scholarships offer a pathway for outstanding individuals to pursue advanced research in their chosen fields. These scholarships are designed to support students throughout their doctoral journey, providing financial assistance and enabling them to focus on their academic pursuits without the burden of financial constraints.

Tuition Fees and Costs

The annual tuition fees are outlined on the Postgraduate Study Program Fees pages, categorized according to your desired exit level and duration of study:

  • MSc by Research Education: 1 Year (Full-time) / 2 years (Part-time)
  • MSc by Research Sport, Physical Education, and Health Sciences: 1 year (Full-time)
  • PhD Education: 3 Years (Full-time) / 6 Years (Part-time)
  • PhD Sport, Physical Education, and Health Sciences: 3 Years (Full-time) / 6 Years (Part-time)

Scholarships and Funding

Applicants are welcome to apply for multiple awards, provided they meet the eligibility criteria. However, successful applicants will only be awarded one scholarship. All scholarships, contingent upon satisfactory progress, are granted for a duration of three years.

Moray House School of Education and Sport is pleased to offer five £10,000 scholarships to study a Master’s degree program commencing in September 2024. These will be based on merit and available to applicants from the eligible countries.

Moray House School of Education and Sport is pleased to offer a scholarship covering tuition fees and living costs for one student. The scholarship is for UK national students from backgrounds or groups which are underrepresented in our School.

We are delighted to announce that Moray House School of Education and Sport with the UK Froebel Trust will be offering a number of scholarships to UK/EU and International students for MSc Education (Early Childhood Practice and Froebel) pathway in the coming academic session.

MSc Education (Early Childhood Practice and Froebel) Scholarship

The School is thrilled to extend a special opportunity to UK applicants admitted to the MSc Education (Early Childhood Practice and Froebel) Pathway for the 2024-2025 academic session. Two scholarships are available for this pathway, generously funded by the UK Froebel Trust.

Saroj Lal Scholarship

Saroj Lal, an esteemed figure in Scotland’s history, left an indelible mark as a trailblazer in the realm of race relations activism. Her unwavering dedication to advocating for fairness and equality, especially for marginalized Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) women, continues to inspire generations.

About the Scholarship:

The Saroj Lal Scholarship stands as a testament to her legacy. This scholarship, valued at £1000, aims to honor Saroj Lal’s pioneering spirit by supporting candidates from BAME backgrounds pursuing their academic aspirations. The scholarship is open to individuals accepted onto the PGDE Primary, PGDE Secondary, or MSc Transformative Learning and Teaching programs.

One scholarship of £1000 will be awarded to a candidate accepted onto the PGDE Primary, PGDE Secondary or MSc Transformative Learning and Teaching program from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background.

“This scholarship is designated for a PGDE student committed to enhancing mathematics or science-based subjects within Scottish secondary schools.”
