McPherson University admission can come in three ways:
- Undergraduate (UTME)
- Direct Entry (DE)
- Transfer (Inter-Institution)
For Undergraduate:
- Students possessing a Senior Secondary School (S.S.S) Certificate, WAEC, GCE “O” Level, or its equivalent are to be offered a five-year standard program.
- Any one of the three alternatives below must be used to meet the entrance requirements:
- The UTME Mode (b) and the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (a)
- A candidate must also have an acceptable score on the UTME. The minimum academic requirement is credit level passes in five (5) subjects at the O’Level in nationally recognized examinations, including English Language and Literature in English, obtained at no more than two sittings.
For Direct Entry
- In the second year of the program, Direct Entry candidates will be allowed to enroll. This group of students must, nevertheless, enrol in any necessary 100-level course.
- English Language and Literature at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, General Certificate of Education “O” Level, or its equivalent, a two- or three-year diploma certificate plus credit passes in five (5) papers; or three (3) papers passed at the Principal or Advanced Level in Higher School Certificate in addition to the aforementioned O’Level requirements.
- In addition to the previously mentioned O’Level requirements, two (2) Principal or Advanced Level HSC or GCE papers are required.
- An appropriate First Degree.

- Enter your SURNAME (in uppercase or capital letters) as the password and your APPLICATION NUMBER for the username.
- To find out if your ACCEPTANCE FEE payment was successful, return to the ADMISSION PORTAL INFORMATION if your login attempt was unsuccessful. To transfer your information to the Student Portal, please click on your admission letter once more if it was successful. If the problem continues, please go to ICT for more help.
- After logging in successfully, update your default password and provide a distinct, working phone number and email address.
- Pay your mandatory fees, housing fee, and school fee via GOTO Payments.
- Once your school fee has been successfully paid, go to the Biodata Section to fill out your personal information and all relevant details.
- After your academic information has been reviewed, you will receive a notification on your dashboard.
- Your matric number will be produced immediately and shown on your dashboard as soon as you receive notification.
- Note: Your password will stay the same, but your username will be automatically changed to your metric number.
- On your subsequent login, you must enter your MATRIC NUMBER as your username.
