About Adekunle Ajasin University

Adekunle Ajasin University is one of the Nigerian universities founded by the Ondo State government during the era of late Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin in the year 1982. It was formerly known as Obafemi Awolowo University and was renamed in 1999.

The university has ​​30 certified lecturers and teachers who are professionals in their area of specialisation. They offer over 70 accredited courses and house over 2000 students.

How To be Eligible for the Adekunle Ajasin University Admission

  • To be eligible, you must first make Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba‐Akoko  (AAUA)  your first choice in 2025/2026 UTME and score 120 and above, which is the new cutoff mark.
  • You must have applied for AAUA for direct entry. Note, it must be your first choice.
  • You scored above the cutoff mark in JAMB, and you’re willing to make Adekunle Ajasin University your first choice. 

How to Apply for Adekunle Ajasin University Admission

To apply for AAUA, visit the official website to download the application form

Note, as an applicant, you must be 16 years and above to be eligible. 

  • Once you have the form, visit putme.aaua.edu.ng to register for the screening. This is after you have made payment of 5000 naira (N2,000 for Post-UTME registration and N3,000 for Portal Access fee). 
  • Then, create an account with your JAMB registration number and email address;
    A mail will be sent to your email. Click on it to do email confirmation. 
  • Afterwards, log in to the portal to fill in your bio-data. Note, you won’t be able to log in to the portal if you don’t make the payment. 
  • Print out Bio-data slip.

General Instructions to all Candidates

i. It is recommended that candidates accurately upload all of their O-Level results to the portal. When it comes to O’Level requirements, a maximum of two (2) sittings are permitted.

ii. WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB O-Level scores are accepted by AAUA.

iii. AAUA admits 1st Degree (Second Class Lower) ND (Upper Credit), HND (Lower Credit), JUPEB (6 Points) and NCE (8 Points) for Direct Entry candidates.

iv. Applicants who are expecting their O’Level results may still apply, but in order to ensure a smooth admissions process, they must upload their results as soon as they are made available on the university portal and JAMB CAPS.

v. To find out the O’Level and UTME subject requirements for the courses they want to take, candidates should click on Admission Requirements.

vi. Candidates who did not comply with the UTME subject combination are requested to change to their desirable courses on JAMB CAPS.

vii. Candidates are recommended to read the O’Level requirements of their courses and select the proper subject combinations, which must contain Credit passes in English Language and Mathematics for all courses in AAUA.

viii. Candidates should make sure they thoroughly fill out the online form, following ALL directions, because any “mistake(s)” could be seen as document falsification or misrepresentation, which would result in disqualification.

ix. After the transaction is complete, candidates must print out the proof and save it for later use.

x. All applicants must take part in the online screening process in order to be eligible for the University’s admissions consideration.

What is the Procedure of Checking AAUA Admission 

To check your admission status, follow the steps below:

  • Visit the AAUA Admission Portal at https://eportal.aaua.edu.ng/
  • Enter your JAMB Registration Number in the provided field.
  • Click on ‘Submit’ to view your admission status.

Basic Adekunle Ajasin University Admission Requirements

Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Biology, Mathematics, and any two subjects. These subject combinations are for science or health programs. For art programs, you will need Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three subjects from Arts, Social sciences, or Science.

  • O level result
  • NCE or equivalent (for direct entry)
  • Birth Certificate
  • State of Origin Certificate
  • 18 passport -photograph
  • Reference letter to be addressed to the Registrar AAUA
  • Photocopy of the receipt of the acceptance paid

AAUA Direct Entry Admission Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a minimum of two (2) A-Level passes in relevant disciplines.
  • As an alternative, people with an OND, HND, NCE, or comparable credentials in relevant sectors might also be taken into account.
  • Direct Entry candidates must earn at least five (5) credits in pertinent areas, such as English language and mathematics, in no more than two sittings, just like UTME applicants.
  • Academic transcripts for ND, HND, or NCE degrees must be sent by applicants directly to the university.
  • The JAMB Direct Entry form needs to be filled out by candidates.

How To Pay AAUA Acceptance Fee

Use these procedures to pay the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) admittance fee for the 2025/2026 school year:

  • Go to your profile on the AAUA portal after your admission has been verified.
  • Navigate to the acceptance fee payment area.
  • Create the payment-specific Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR).
  • Fifty thousand Naira (₦50,000.00) is the acceptance fee.
  • Online Payment: Pay online through the Remita platform by using the RRR.
  • Payment by Bank: Alternatively, visit any commercial bank:
  • Provide the RRR to the teller.
  • Use the Remita portal to pay the acceptance fee.
  • Log back into your profile after making a payment.
  • Input the required payment information, such as the payment confirmation number and RRR.
  • Submit to verify and confirm your payment.

What is Adekunle Ajasin university 2025 cut off mark?

Adekunle Ajasin university is yet to relaease their admission cutoff mark for 2025/2026 academic session. Normally, Universities do release their official cut-off marks after the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results are released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB).

Last academic session, AAUA generally cut-off mark was 160, which is also likely going to be the cut-off mark for this 2025/2026. But when it comes to departmental cutoff mark, it will be dependant on how competitive they are.
